Mearns Connections The organising Committee and the Grassic Gibbon Centre thank all those who helped to make this event such a huge success. The number and enthusiasm of the visitors indicate that an event of this content is appreciated and indeed required in the Howe. The fine mix of amateur and professional entertainment was made possible by generous sponsorship and the help of funding bodies and we are extremely grateful for their welcome support. This type of event along with other summer shows, galas, festivals and highland games is also dependant on a huge voluntary input to ensure its smooth running and Mearns Connections have to thank many individuals and other committees for their willing involvement. This was an event for the Mearns, about the Mearns, run by the Mearns and well supported by the Mearns. Let us strive to make it a permanent and popular event in the local calendar.
