Woodend Barn’s Lavender Project sought to combine community with culture and conservation.
The project is the focus of a long-term conservation initiative between Woodend Barn and The Arts Practice Research Community at Robert Gordon University.
The Project sought to understand more fully the complete history of the cultivation, manufacture and distribution of Dee lavender by company Ingasetter Limited, and to demonstrate how the once large industry is a poignant metaphor for understanding and testing organisational sustainability.
At the opening night of the exhibition in August guests were treated to rendition of an old Scout song verse called Banchory notes.
Local character Bosun was on hand to sing it, as it should be sung.
