Famed television psychic Derek Acorah is to return to Aberdeen to make his Music Hall debut on Saturday, October 8, as part of his True Vision tour.
Tickets for his first appearance in Aberdeen go on sale to APA Friends tomorrow (Wednesday) and to the general public on Friday (July 8) online at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall, His Majesty’s Theatre and The Lemon Tree.
With numerous TV appearances and 20 years of live stage shows, he is one of the most time-honoured mediums in the UK today, renowned for his friendly and sincere delivery, down-to-earth charm and obvious dedication to his work.
Derek first started theatre-style demonstrations in 1990 and was the first medium to demonstrate live on television. His popularity went worldwide thanks to satellite television and internet radio.
With Yvette Fielding and her husband, they created a TV pilot show called Haunting Truths, which became Most Haunted and he remained with the show until 2005.
Derek celebrated the 400th anniversary of The Gunpowder Plot by tracing the footsteps of Guy Fawkes for the programme Derek Acorah’s Quest for Guy Fawkes immediately following his departure from Most Haunted, and that was followed by a new programme devised by LivingTV, called Derek Acorah’s Ghost Towns.
In 2007 Derek travelled to Egypt where he filmed Paranormal Egypt with Tessa Dunlop, giving insights in to some of the mysteries surrounding the Pharoahs of Ancient Egypt. And his next television project was named simply Derek Acorah on Sky Real Lives.
Derek has appeared on numerous television programmes including Dr Who, The Paul O’Grady Show, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, This Morning, GMTV’s Lorraine, Braniac, The Weakest Link and Livin’ With Lucy.
His most recent television programme is his involvement in the Five Go To…series for Channel 4 when he travelled to Lanzarote with four other celebrities.
