A fashion show has raised more than £1,600 for the Stonehaven Choral Society.
Held at Mackie Academy on Friday, October 5, the Stonehaven Choral Society and Elizabeth Havens staged a very successful show.
Tickets sold out quickly and the ladies of Stonehaven Choral Society modelled a large selection of outfits, ranging from casual day wear to stunning evening dresses all with matching accessories, in front of a packed hall.
The gentlemen from the Choral Society played their part by performing a range of very entertaining musical items.
The show raised a total of £1,645 for the Choral Society.
The success of the evening was the result of months of organisation and planning by Maragret Longino who together with Elizabeth Havens and her assistants put the show together.
The Stonehaven Chorus is a mixed voice choir of around 50 people from a wide range of backgrounds. Most of the singers live in and around Stonehaven, but a number travel from further afield.
They rehearse weekly in Mackie Academy, on Mondays at 7.30pm and carry out recitals in Stonehaven in December and May each year, additional recitals take place throughtout Aberdeenshire, or further afield with the Choir recently visiting Germany where they performed in Cologne Cathedral.
In order to keep themselves running, the Stonehaven Choral Society stages a variety of fundraisers throughout the year to pay for rehearsal space and to ensure that they can keep ticket prices for their shows affordable.
