Two new shows with a night-time theme are announced today for His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen this summer – but for two very different audiences.
One is a musical adventure for young children, Room on a Broom (August 13 to 15) and the other is a spectacular celebration of the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, called New Jersey Nights (June 18 to 22).
Tickets for both shows on sale to APA Friends on Friday ( March 1) and on general sale on Monday (March 4) online at www.boxofficeaberdeen.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.
Direct from a smash-hit West End season, Room on the Broom is adapted for the stage from the best-selling book by Children’s Laureate Julia Donaldson MBE and Axel Scheffler.
A bed-time story favourite, it is a magical, musical adventure for young children about a witch and her cat and a stormy wind which blows her witch’s hat, bow and wand away into the night.
With the help of a daft dog, a beautiful bird and a friendly frog, her belongings are retrieved. But the broomstick’s not meant for five and it snaps in two and then a hungry dragon appears!
Direct from the USA, New Jersey Nights comes to His Majesty’s Theatre as part of their world tour.
The show takes the audience on a nostalgic musical journey through the career of one of the biggest selling groups of all times - from the back street studio in New Jersey where it all began.
The vibrant production includes all of The Four Seasons greatest hits, Including Sherry, Rag Dolls, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk Like A Man and so much more.
The production features an award winning cast of singers, dancers and a rockin’ on stage band.
