What’s On at Stonehaven Town Hall

STONEHAVEN Town Hall looks set to be rocked to it’s very foundations next months, as acclaimed official Iron Maiden tribute act, Hi On Maiden are due to perform on September 24.

Supported by local band Xtreme Machine, it will be a night to remember. A spokeswoman for the Town Hall said: “One of the wildest nights the Town Hall has seen in a long time, Hi-on Maiden the official Maiden Tribute band is coming to Stonehaven with full stage show. If you couldn’t get tickets for Iron Maiden this is the next best thing. Covering all your favourites right back to the beginning of the best metal band in the world. Don’t miss out get your tickets quick because this is bound to be popular.”

Doors open at 7.30pm and a bar will be provided.

But there is so much more going on at the Town Hall in the month leading up to that, starting with the return of the Stoney Jazz Cafe on Sunday August 28, from 2pm-5pm. Come along to the Jazz Session and chill out to Cindy Douglas and her band. Speak to them for a chance to play in future events. Everyone is welcome, so bring the family along and enjoy. Adult tickets are £5, concession £3 and under 12s go free. A special offer of buy one get one free for any jazz tickets means that tickets will go fast, so get yours now!

Sunday August 28 also sees what organisers are calling “the best comedy night in Stonehaven yet”.

This month features: Gary Delaney, described as “one of the best one line comedians in the country today”; Wayne Shakespeare, whose skills see him mixing magic and comedy, Trevor Locke, “highly energetic improvisational comedian can’t tell you what he is going to do since he won’t know yet”; and Paul B Edwards, who will be mixing music and comedy to great effect. Doors open at 7.30pm and bar provided.

The Two Left Feet Dance School commences on Saturday September 17 at 7.30pm with an Hawaiian Beach theme - althought fancy dress is optional. Tickets cost £12 per couple and there will be a raffle.
