Twin brothers Murray and Andrew Deans are celebrating as they both graduated last month with First Degree Honours.

The former Mackie Academy pupils are being embarrassed by their dad this week as he told us that he was over the moon that the pair graduated.

Mr Deans told us: “It was just a great delight for them both to graduate and I thought it was great for the school as they are clearly doing a great job.”

Murray studied Economics at Strathclyde University where he was awarded the Charles Carter prize given to students for outstanding performance by a single honours student.

Murray takes up a role at Bank of England in London.

His twin brother Andrew studied law at Glasgow University and is going on to study for his diploma in law at the same institution.
