A MAN had to be cut free from his car after his vehicle flipped over and landed upside down on the southbound A90 on Monday morning.
The crash happened just after 9am on the stretch of road between Newtonhill and Stonehaven. One lane of the carriageway was closed by police while the man was freed, and long tailbacks prompted police to issue a plea to motorists to find another route to travel for a short time. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and the man, who had no apparent injuries, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for a check up.
The road was fully re-opened later on Monday.
