Mrs Vera McBain, president, welcomed members to the November meeting and introduced the speakers for the evening, Mr and Mrs. Sefton, who gave a most interesting talk on their train journey which started at Laurencekirk railway station and ended in Vietnam.
They showed many slides of the beautiful sights and buildings they had seen and talked of the foods they sampled, some very nice and others not so palatable.
This was a truly and amazing journey and both agreed they would be happy to do it again.
Competition winners were, Eastern ornament:

Tea convener was Mary Young and Mrs. McBain proposed thanks, bringing a most enjoyable evening to a close.
The November meeting was the annual Whist Drive with eight tables taking part which winners were as followed: Pink - 1 Margaret Ross, 2 Gena Warden, 3 Helen Reid, Cons Pat Cooper.
Blue - 1 Margaret Sinclair, 2 Mollie Love, 3 Jim Collie, Con Jeenie Fraser.
Yellow - 1 Jean Jamieson, 2 Audrey Wilson, 3 Pat Sinclair, Con Mabel Thomson.
White - 1 Annabel Pirie, 2 Sheila Hay, 3 John Jamieson, Con Marjory Hogg.
After a lovely tea was provided by members and the raffle was drawn, Helen Doig presented thanks everyone for coming along and making it an enjoyable evening.
