Fair Trade Cafe

Wednesday May 20, 10am-11.30am Fair Trade Café, Delicious Hot Pancakes, home baking and fresh coffee and tea and the opportunity to meet up for some fine company and chat.

Bervie Bake off

Saturday May 16 saw Bervie’s expert Bakers of all ages come together and Bake for Christian Aid week, Organiser Jill Simpson explained to all, Young and Old that Bervie’s goal was to raise enough money for a cow, £150 gives an Ethiopian Widow her own Cow which in turn gives her an income and voting rights in her village.

Bervie Bake off was a huge success, expert tasters were on hand to judge and award winners for Best Tasting and Best Decoration per category and an Over all winner. Great family fun, a coffee morning to follow and we raised enough for a Cow!

WOTS is distributed free of charge to most Bervie Residences but a donation towards production costs are most welcome.

Bervie First Responders

Bervie First Responders are being set up inn connection with The Sandpiper Trust, they are looking for people who are interested in being involved with a First Responders group.

A public meeting has been called on Monday June 1, 7.30pm at The Burgh Chambers, Above the Library, Church Street. If you are interested, pop along and have a listen to whats happening locally.

We do need more volunteers to make our Project Sustainable, the kids are enjoying it and we are looking to add Art projects but with a small group of volunteers, this is just not possible. Your community needs you!

Hanover Court and Craigview

On Friday May 8, we were entertained by 2 Ladies from Deeside, Myra and Norna who played Accordian, Sung and tld real funny stories and had everyone singing along, enjoyed by everyone, finished off with a Cuppa and Blether, Ally Bally gave vote of Thanks.

Afternoon tea was had on Friday May 15, everyone tucked into Sandwiches, Scones and Cakes. Good to see a good turn out, Ally Thanked the Ladies for the Eats “Hanover Bake off”

Next date: Bus Trip on Wednesday June 17, details to follow.

Knit and Natter

Thursday May 21, The Knit and Natter Ladies will be meeting for their new Fortnightly craft and chat session.

8pm-10pm, The Salutation, King Street, Inverbervie.

Bervie Lunch Club

Bervie Lunch Club meet once a fortnight in the Masonic Hall, King Street, Inverbervie, From 12noon- 1.30pm.

They enjoy a 2 course lunch, usually Soup and Pudding costing £4 they next meet on Tuesday May 26, If you are interested and wish to book a space call Isabel on 01561 361007

Bervie Social Club

Bervie Social Club has an average weekly attendance of 100 members meet every Saturday for some Bingo Fun, at The Burgh Hall, Farquhar Street. Nextt meeting is Saturday May 23, Membership forms are available from Head Caller Alan Reid and his dedicated team of helpers.

Bingo is currently meeting at revised winter hours and eyes down at 7pm during the colder months.

Raffle and Refreshments are available.
