Brighter Bervie have definitely succeeded in their aim of brightening up the seafront in the Royal Burgh.

Bervie’s seafront is looking a bit more cheerful after volunteer group, Brighter Bervie, installed some new train-shaped planters.

Tom Campbell, from the volunteer group, explained that they are now busier than ever.

He said: “Any day now the Council Landscaping Services will be sending us our order for 570 bedding plants to be planted around the burgh. We’re also about to plant-up the RNLI Flag Feature behind Bervie Sports Centre, so the days ahead will be interesting, exciting and extremely busy for the Brighter Bervie volunteers!

“We want to encourage as many helpers as possible to come and enjoy this fun part of our gardening activities with us. Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings are our regular sessions at the seafront. ‘‘For more details contact Tom Campbell, telephone (01561) 361350, or 07962 020397, or email lizplustom@aol.com”

Brighter Bervie will have a stall at the Bervie Gala on Saturday, June 21, so all contributions of potted cuttings or seedlings will be gratefully received to sell at this event.
