It’s been a busy week for a Laurencekirk business after learning they had been shortlisted in two different awards finals.
Bespoke Hair and Beauty has had incredible success at awards ceremonies in the last two years, picking up Scottish Beauty Salon of the Year 2012 at the Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards and winning Scottish Hair Salon of the Year 2013 at the following year’s ceremony.
However, this week nail technician/beauty therapist Christina Pert was told she had made the finals of Scratch magazine’s Scratch Stars Awards.
She has made it into the final five for the whole of the UK in Gel Tech of the Year category and will have to compete against the other finalists in London on Monday, March 17.
Christina has previously won the Scottish Expert Nail Tech Award at the INAA.com Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards.
The salon also heard that they had been named in the final two of the North-east Scotland region for Bridal Hair & Make up Specialists at the Scottish Wedding Awards.
The awards ceremony takes place on February 25 and salon owners Kirsty McBeath and Gail Craig will be attending the event at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow.
The winner of the regional award will go on to compete against other regional winners for at chance to be named Scotland’s top Bridal Hair & Beauty experts.
Kirsty said: “It’s been a really amazing week with hearing that we’d been shortlisted in two different awards finals.
‘‘First Christina Pert was told she had made the finals of the Scratch Stars Awards and at the end of last week we heard that we had been named in the final two of the North east Scotland region for Bridal Hair & Make up Specialists at the Scottish Wedding Awards.”
