A change to local bus services at Newtonhill have been welcomed by local councillor Ian Mollison.
From Monday (December 14) services operating on the Aberdeen and Stonehaven corridor will be re-routed to serve the park and choose at the Newtonhill flyover. The long-distance Stagecoach services which link Aberdeen and Perth already use the park and choose. Now all Stagecoach services will come off the A90 dual carriageway.
North Kincardine Councillor Ian Mollison said: “This means the two bus stops on the A90 opposite Newtonhill Road will no longer be used.
“Transport Scotland had safety concerns about buses trying to get into their stops while other traffic was joining the A90.
“They feared there could be a serious accident. This gave the opportunity to remove that risk.”
