Mearns Camera Club’s ‘Cityscapes’ competition was judged at their weekly meeting in Stonehaven Community Centre.

Judge David Hay, from Pitlochry, said he enjoyed looking at the work and hoped his comments would be of use and help members to learn and improve with their photographic efforts.

He thought the standard of the club’s entries was excellent, though the actual number of entries was lower than usual.

Perhaps this was due to the subject matter for this competition.

The results are as follows: Black and White Print - 3. ‘London Office Reflection’ by Mike Reid (18 points), 2. ‘Canyons in the City’ by Mark Woodfin (19 points), 1. ‘Times Square’ by Iain Wood (20 points).

Coloured Print - 3. ‘Manhattan from Brooklyn’ by Brian Doyle (18 points), 2. ‘Shapes of Edinburgh’ by Pat Copner (19 points), 1. ‘Champs Elysee’ by Brian Doyle (20 points). Projected Digital Image - 3. ‘New York Skyline’ by Russell Adams (18 points), 2. ‘Le View’ by Neil Watson (19 points), 1. ‘Singapore Harbour’ (20 points).

Neil Weston proposed thanks.
