Catterline Gala takes place this weekend, and organisers are hoping that locals will get behind the event.
This year’s Gala - which is on from 1.30pm-4pm pn Saturday (June 8) and 1pm onwards on Sunday (June 9) - has an ‘Under the Sea’ theme, with a prize for the best fancy dress costume with an under the sea theme, or you can take part in the competition by making your own sea creature ‘out of absolutely anything, and any size.”
The marquee tent will have fabulous local stalls as well as the world famous tea and homemade cakes.
There will be raffles, ‘free the fluffy’, bottle stalls, a chocolate tombola, a craft making stall, face painting and much much more.
Outside will be the naming ceremony of Catterline’s own coastal rowing boat, a barbeque, beat the goalie, coconut shy, ice cream, childrens races, tug of war, the famous ‘duck chuck’ and bouncy castle.
The committee are hoping that members of the local community will come along and support the event, however if you can help with donations of ckaes, bottle stall, any kind of choclate item for the tombola, and raffle prizes, please hand them to any gala member.
