Efforts to get a Kidney Dialysis Unit for Stonehaven will receive a boost later this month when a brave Angus woman takes part in a charity sy dive to mark her 60th birthday.
Eveline Birse, who is originally from the Mearns and works in Stonehaven, will take the plunge on August 24.
“My brother in law had problems with his kidney and was very unwell for a time” she said.
“I was looking to do something special for my birthday and this is a great cause.
“This unit is likely to do a lot of good for people in St Cyrus, Laurencekirk and North Angus, who have to go to Aberdeen for their dyalisis at present.”

£100,000 is needed to set up the dialysis unit, and fundraisers have been tirelessly working to reach their total.
