Residents in south Aberdeenshire will soon have the opportunity to have their say on regeneration project funding in the Kincardine and Mearns area. A meeting will be held next month to provide an overview of the Regeneration Priority Area (RPA) and will give those who attend a chance to highlight where they think funds should be allocated.
The event, which will be held in The Living Rooms, Christian Centre, Inverbervie at 6.30pm on Wednesday, June 1, is open to residents and will provide feedback on the initial community consultation which led to the creation of the Regeneration Action Plan.
Kincardine and Mearns Area Manager, William Munro, will introduce the initiative and lay out the next steps for the project. The next round of funding for the RPA has to be set and community involvement is essential in the process.
Workshops covering four themes: Transport, flexible resource centre, social enterprise and review of coastal path and conservation areas will update the community on work done to date and allow them to suggest how the funding should be used for this year.
