The Tolbooth Museum is on the lookout for readers who may want to don a red coat and join the other volunteers at the premises.
Next week the museum will move towards six-day opening, and anyone who may be able to spare some of their free time is asked to get in touch.
Cressida Coates, chair of the Stonehaven Toolbooth Association, said that the volunteers were a great group to get involved with.
She said: “When you hear the term ‘red coat,’ you automatically think about those fun loving guides at Butlins Holiday Parks arranging all the activities for families to do.
“However, ‘red coats’ are the bright fleeces worn by Stonehaven Tolbooth Museum volunteers and we are a fun bunch who willingly give up our time to the opening of the Tolbooth Museum and to welcoming visitors to the town.
“As the museum moves towards opening six days a week from April 7 - Wednesday to Monday, 1.30 – 4.30pm - I wonder if there are any readers out there who are willing to don the ‘red coat’ of the Stonehaven Tolbooth volunteers and join us.
“If any reader would like to know more about what is entailed, I would encourage him or her to contact us via our website or by popping into the museum.”
