Appeal for witnesses following attempted thefts

Grampian Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted theft in the Inverbervie area on Sunday 15 April, 2012.

During the incident a 67 year old man was approached at an ATM on King Street by a man who attempted to steal his wallet.

A further incident took place at around 7:40 pm on Monday 16 April also on King Street during which a 50 year old man was approached and an attempt was made to steal his wallet.

Nothing was stolen during either incident. The male is described as being in his early 20’s, thin build, about 5’10 - 6’, short dark hair wearing a dark or grey hooded top with a local accent.

Police enquiries are currently ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information or who may have witnessed the incidents.
