The event got under way on Thursday, August 27, with the Scottish National Highland Dancing Championship, then continued into Friday when saw dancers from the US, Canada and Australia joined the Scots to compete in the Scottish Championship.

Keryn Glennie (11), Rachael Ritchie (17) and Bethan Glennie (10) attended extra practices over the summer to help prepare them for the competition.,

Bethan took home one Cowal medal from the Scottish National Championship and another two medals from the Scottish Championship after her first visit to the event.

As competitors they go up against the finest dancers and performed in front of what’s possibly the most discerning dancing audience anywhere in the world.
