December at the Town Hall kicks off with the Ury Players pantomime, King Arthur a Pantomime Adventure in Camelot, which will run in the Town Hall until this Saturday (December 8) tickets are £10 (£7 concessions) and are available from the Rose Bowl, Barclay Street, Stonehaven.

Then, on Saturday December 22 It’s Christmas Party Time. You can have your Christmas night out at the Town hall with function band TOTICO, Disco and nibbles all for £7 bar provided.

On Thursday 27 and Friday 28 December is the return of Stonehaven Cinema which has a selection of films showing.

Madagascar 3 at 1pm Thursday December 27 and 3.30pm Friday December 28, Madagascar 3 sees the return of characters such as Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo as they join a traveling circus in an effort to get back home to New York.

Rise of the Guardians 3.30pm Thursday December 27 and 1pm Friday December 28. Join your beloved childhood legends as they join forces to protect the children of the world in DreamWorks Animation’s Rise Of The Guardians.

Twilight Breaking Dawn, 7pm Thursday December 27, in the final instalment of the popular Twilight Saga, following the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child... But the Volturi come back !

James Bond Skyfall, 7pm Friday December 28, After an operation in Istanbul ends in disaster, James Bond is missing and presumed to be dead, and the identities of every active MI6 undercover agent are leaked onto the Internet. In the aftermath, questions are raised over M’s ability to run the Secret Service, and she becomes the subject of a government review over her handling of the situation. When the service itself is attacked, Bond’s sudden reappearance gives M the pretext she needs to seek out Raoul Silva, a dangerous villain claiming a personal connection to both of them – but as he follows a trail from London to the South China Sea, Bond soon finds his loyalty to M challenged over secrets from her past.

Then start the New Year on a high with the chance to see The Hobbit at Stonehaven Cinema on Saturday January 5. The Hobbit showings at 2pm and 6.30pm “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” follows title character Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor, which was long ago conquered by the dragon Smaug. Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakensheild. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands
