Diversion in place as bridge is repaired

work to repair an historic Mearns bridge started this week.

Strengthening and refurbishment work started at the Bridge of Bervie on Monday and will last ten weeks.

The £155,000 repair will see the bridge being closed for the duration of the work with a diversion put in place.

The Bridge of Bervie was built in the 18th Century and is a B-listed bridge, the work is being carried out to repair some of the masonry which is in poor condition, with parts of the bridge showing cracks.
