Stonehaven salon Edge Hair and Beauty are gearing up for this weekend’s Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards in Glasgow.

With recognition in two categories, it could be a double celebration, as nail technician and salon owner Julie Baxter has been nominated for Nail Technician of the Year, while hair stylist Zoe Nicol has been nominated for Hair Extensionist of the Year.

Julie said: “We are so grateful to everyone who has voted for us, it really does mean a lot. We are so excited about the awards, we work really hard and we are all so passionate about what we do, so this is a chance for us to relax and enjoy the night.”

Julie will be attending the awards straight off the back of a training course in Budapest, where she is training to become a nail educator.

With a public voting system, the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards is a celebration of local talent.

Winners are a reflection of quality and customer service as chosen by members of the general public.

Nominations have come in from far and wide for the highly-anticipated event.

The official charity partner for this year’s event is the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK, with donations raised on the night going to the charity.
