A special summer holiday toddler group will run throughout the school holidays in Auchenblae to provide support to parents to prevent them from feeling isolated.
Most baby groups close down during the school holidays which can often leave new and expectant parents feeling secluded from the community, but Auchelblae baby and toddler group is inviting new and expectant parents to come along and meet other new parents and youngsters at special baby and bump sessions.
The Group offers new parents a friendly welcome and space to relax whilst their babies and toddlers enjoy lots of safe fun toys and start to make friends in playing together.
The special holiday fun sessions run on Friday July 13, 27 and August 10 from 9.15am-11.15am at the Auchenblae Church Hall.
Group Representative, Amy Whittet says “We’re all new parents so it’s lovely to be able to support each other and relax while our little ones play. It’s so valuable meeting weekly in term times”
“So instead of closing for the summer holidays we’re opening 3 extra sessions when babies and toddlers can bring their older brothers and sisters who’d usually be at school.
Auchenblae mum of twins, Kate Matthews, says “The Group’s a lifeline source of advice and support for new parents. I’ve met new friends, my babies love the attention and cuddles plus I get some hands-free time to relax with a cuppa. Brilliant!”
The sessions cost £2.50 per family and weekly sessions resume on Friday 24th August. Phone Amy Whittet on 07581 787197 for more information.
