There are lots of great activities coming up as Fettercairn Gala week gets under way.
Fettercairn Gala activities starts tomorrow ( Friday) with a Quiz Night in the Public Hall at 7.30p.m.
Teams of four are only £3 per person, which includes the usual refreshments. The quiz has been made up by Mrs Chris Milne so organisers are looking forward to the grey cells being stimulated - nothing too intimidating. Do go along even if you don’t have a full team of four - they can always make up a team.
The usual prize bingo is on Monday, May 27, at 7pm. and also in the Public Hall. All ages welcome. It is always a fun evening with a good mix of ages and generations taking part.
Thursday, June 30, sees the junior walking treasure hunt, made up by the Fettercairn School Council, depart from the Park Pavilion at 5.30p.m. (Entry FREE) It finishes up with refreshments at Queen Elizabeth Court.

The Gala day itself takes place on Saturday, June 1, in the Park at 1.30p.m. and includes for the first time in 36 years a highland dancing display by ‘The Beattie School of Dancing’ Brechin.
Organisers look forward to being entertained by them. This yearthere is face painting, a wellie-throwing competition (junior and adult) and a beat the goalie competition, as well as the children’s It’s a Knockout, bouncy castles, and Brownie and Guide Stalls to entertain the youngsters.
There is the usual bowling competition, tombola and raffle. Teas, beer tent and burger stall will ensure people are well fed and watered on the day.
