Team Stonehaven has taken on the Race for Life for another year and this time they were joined by another generation.

Hayley Cameron contacted the Leader last week to let us know they were taking on the Race for Life in Aberdeen last Sunday.

This year however, Hayleys daughters Maisie (7), Hannah (6) and niece Lily joined them.

Hayley Cameron: “I first did the Race for Life in 2005 and did it most years after that when I wasn’t living overseas.

“Unfortunately 2011 and 2012 saw our family face cancer head on with two family members being diagnosed just 8 months apart. Sadly we lost my wonderful father-in-law in 2013. “Since then ‘Team Stonehaven’ was born! The last two years has seen us raise £3,672 for Cancer Research through the Race For Life.

Hayley’s Mum, Mother-in-law, sisters-in law, nieces and friends also took part.
