Family Fun Day

This Saturday (August 13) the Stonehaven Town Hall Trust are holding a Family Fun day in the Town Hall between 11am and 5pm. There will be lots of stalls and things to do for all the family including face painting, lucky dip, arts and crafts, games, a treasure hunt within the Town Hall, refreshments and lots more.

During the day there will be a programme of interactive demonstrations by local groups. The timetable for the demos is: 11.30 Jazzercise, 12.10 Red Cross, 1.00 Hip Hop, 1.45 Magician, 2.20 Lyndsay School of Dancing, 3.10 Story Telling, 4.00 Children’s Singalong.

Cherlye Casher of the Town Hall Trust said: “The Trust are trying to put on events which will attract different groups within the community and show that the hall can be used both day and night. Hopefully we will have something for all the family all under-one-roof. Last weekend the Town Hall was busy for three consecutive nights with the Aberdeen International Youth Festival, Gaberlunzie and Wrestlezone showing a diversity of entertainment and that the Town Hall is a fantastic asset to the community.”

The Stonehaven Town Hall Trust was established in 2010 and is working with Aberdeenshire Council to bring the town hall back to community ownership.
