Thousands of Scottish football fans have been having their say on the future of the ‘beautiful game’.
The Scottish Football Supporters Survey 2016 is aimed at giving fans across the country the opportunity to have input on the big issues affecting the national game.
Every club is in Scotland has been encouraged to share the “What’s the view from where you sit?” survey with their supporters to allow the fullest ever picture of views to be drawn together.
Within days of its launch on Saturday it had received nearly 6000 responses.
The survey is being organised by Supporters Direct Scotland with the Scottish FA and the SPFL,
Andrew Jenkin, head of Supporters Direct Scotland, said: “The response so far has been unprecedented. We’ve had thousands of submissions in the first 24 hours, and we’re grateful to supporters for taking the time to share their views.
“We are determined to make this survey the start of a collegiate process within Scottish football that can continue to develop change which has started in the last couple of years.
“Having a structured relationship with the Scottish FA and SPFL means there is no better time for fans to make their voices heard.”
Previous survey feedback has helped shape the debate on the fixture calendar, pricing strategy, barriers to attendance, alcohol in football and ownership models.
The findings will be presented to the Scottish FA’s Congress.
