Stonehaven (Fatherland) Burns Club is to hold its ever-popular Annual Supper on Wednesday January 20, 2016 at the Station Hotel, Stonehaven at 7pm for 7.15pm prompt.

Vice-president Doug Samways will welcome a grand line-up of guests including Aberdeen’s Helena Anderson-Wright who will deliver the Immortal Memory, Scott Begbie with the “Toast to the Lasses”, Mackie Academy rector Louise Moir (Reply), and the Ury Players’ effervescent Garry Brindley on “Scotland Yet”.

Weel kent Stonehaven singing duo Jean and Peter Webster will once again provide some beautiful Burns songs, although they will have to be on their mettle with contributions also coming from local junior Burns prize winners Donald Watt (“Address to a Haggis”), Kirsty Duncan (“The Braw Wooer”) and Rory McIver with a song. A cracking evening of tributes to the Bard is assured, and with a big demand for tickets on a strictly “first come, first served basis.” Russell Adams should be contacted on 01569 668958.
