The Feein Market is over for another year and what an afternoon Saturday June 6 turned out to be.

We’ve got plenty of pictures to show you from Saturday over a massive 8 pages including Lindsay School of Dancing, Cheque presentations and who we picked as our best dressed and best stall at the Feein Market.

Here at the Mearns Leader we were delighted that Deputy Editor Rachel Campbell and Reporter Lee McCann had the honour of opening the days proceedings at 10am. We couldn’t be happier to be involved with such a long-running and popular event, which is supported by such a large portion of the community.

Stonehaven and District Lions Club once again did a fantastic job organising this event and welcomed all near and far to Stonehaven on Saturday.

They have been at the helm for 15 years and have spearheaded the transformation of the Feein’ Market since they took over the organisation.

David Lawman, the Lions Club’s Feein’ Market convener, explained before Saturday’s event: “We are totally committed to the development of the Feein’ Market so that everyone can benefit - participating clubs, businesses and organisations and visitors alike.

“The bigger and better the event - the bigger the draw and that means more income for all the charities, businesses and organisations with stalls both in the town square and in the Town Hall, not to mention more money in the tills for local shops, restaurants and pubs.”

The wind was threatening to call a halt to the Feein Market for the first time in history but stall holders, dancers, volunteers and the Lions Club put on one grand Feein Market.
