As part of the Feein’ Market the Stonehaven & District Lions held a painting competition for the Junior Schools in Stonehaven. The theme for the painting was the Jubilee. There were almost 150 entries from the three schools and all were displayed in the Town Hall on the day.

The entries were judged by Carol Kinghorn, the Lord Lieutenant of Kincardineshire, who opened the Market. The winners were, in First place, Iona McFadden of Dunnottar School. In Second place, Stacey Birss of Mill o’ Forest School and in Third place, Robyn Ward of Arduthie School.

Tony Bilsdon, President of the Stonehaven & District Lions presented the three winners with their prizes which were vouchers from Toymaster Toyland.
