First Youth Cafe opens up in Bervie

Last Saturday, October 25, saw the first youth cafe open up at the Herd Centre, Townhead, Inverbervie, from 7-9pm. Some 30-odd P7 to S3 children attending for hot chocolate and home bakes.

Caroll Evans, Bervie Youth Project chairperson, said: “They kept warm, chatted with friends and listened to music. It was a great turn out, supported by local residents with cash donations and home baking.

“We benefited from Dick Karpinski & Partner Ltd, TV installers, generous sponsorship during October, for which we are very grateful.”

This Saturday, November 1, entertainment is basket ball/netball from 3-4pm at the Bervie sports centre.

Youth cafe from 7-9pm in the Herd Centre with free hot chocolate and home bakes at the club.
