It’s all going on at Portlethen Primary as they recently held a dance off, a sports day, a spring fayre and got a donation from Portlethen Masons.

In the Porty Dance Off Final 18 acts competed with the youngster competitor P2 Rachel Cowan. Parents, family and friends watched as £413.75 was made for playground improvements.

Porty’s own Caroline Flack and Olly Murrs- Bethany South and Fraser Cardno organised the event with 4 judges. Mrs Garnes- Headteacher, Mrs McKechnie DHT, Abbie Whitelaw - ASDA community champion and Mrs Fordyce- pianist and country dance group leader.

The audience voted for the winner and the judges counted the votes while the audience were entertained by Robyn Butker P6 playing the violin and The Woodwind group.

ASDA Portlethen donated a goodie bag full of prizes and a special trophy was awarded to the winner who was Sefrinmi Koshoedo from P7.

Portlethen Masons also presented a cheque for £800 to the school for PIP - playground improvement project.

This was money they raised from a raffle at their recent installation of the new Master- Eric Lindsay.

The Spring Fayre managed to raise an incredible £5075.60 including a donation from local business Euro NDT.
