The popular Mearns visitor attraction is now open for the 2013 season. The Centre Coffee Shop, Exhibition and Gift shop are open every day between 10am and 4.30pm until the end of October.
Tickets for the annual supper of the ‘Friends of the Grassic Gibbon Centre’ on Saturday March 30 are now available. The guest speaker this year is Andrew Clegg who is a well known after dinner speaker with an interest in Lewis Grassic Gibbon.
There will also be musical entertainment. The Centre celebrates 21 years of being open to the public this year.
An incredible achievement for the small rural community of Arbuthnott but only made possible through the support of its many ‘Friends’ some of whom meet together for the annual supper each year.
To mark this milestone, the Centre exhibition is to be refurbished during the year with new display cases. We are grateful to support from Aberdeenshire Council’s museums service in helping upgrade the exhibition.
Tickets for the supper cost £18 each and are available from the Centre.
