A Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) event, which has a Communication Support Service group in Stonehaven, raised money for the charity.

Aberdeen’s 2016 Dee Don Walkathon saw participants welcome the sun as they raised £2000.

Having the sun out was novel for the event this year as it had been previously held in December.

CHSS fundraising officer Katie Jones said: “It was great to see everyone at the Dee Don Walkathon, with all generations of family represented and a few friendly dogs.

“I can’t thank the participants and volunteers who help us enough for their continued, generous support.

“We love welcoming many of our existing and former service users.”
