Three lucky winners have won a chance to trace their family history courtesy of Aberdeenshire Council’s Registration Service.
Kenny Mackie and Liz Morrison, both of Inverurie and Amanda Nicholls from Johnshaven each win a £15 voucher for a one hour family history research session at any Registration Office within Aberdeenshire.
The prizes are from a competition organised in June, to launch the Registration Service’s Family History Research gift vouchers.
Family History vouchers can buy the search services of a Registrar in one-hour blocks.
The vouchers make a great gift for the budding historian in your life or to satisfy your curiosity about your ancestors.
Vouchers are on sale at Registration Offices across Aberdeenshire and are redeemable at any one of the twelve computerised offices.
It is possible to trace back as far as five generations in a one hour session with the Registrar’s assistant. The Service has electronic access to all birth, death, marriage and civil partnership records for the whole of Scotland dating from 1855 to present.
