The regional voting results for Angus South and Angus North & Mearns were announced shortly before 5.45am today (Friday).

They are as follows:

Angus South: Communist Party of Britain - 43; RISE - 60; Scottish Christian Party - 174; Scottish Conservative & Unionist Party - 10,885; Scottish Green Party - 1520; Scottish Labour Party - 3399; Scottish Lib-Dems - 943; Scottish Libertarian Party - 45; Scottish National Front - 50; SNP - 14,148; Solidarity - 83; UKIP - 667.

Rejected ballot papers - 52.

Total votes cast - 32,069.

Turn out - 56.84 per cent.

Angus North & Mearns: Communist Party of Britain - 47; RISE - 44; Scottish Christian Party - 110; Scottish Conservative & Unionist Party - 10,575; Scottish Green Party - 1532; Scottish Labour Party - 2663; Scottish Lib-Dems - 1522; Scottish Libertarian Party - 56; Scottish National Front - 69; SNP - 12,170; Solidarity - 80; UKIP - 626.

Rejected ballot papers - 40.

Total votes cast - 29,434.

Turn out - 54.34 per cent.
