With there being a decline in the number of hotels in Stonehaven in recent years hotels in the wider area have been picking up the strain.
This will be evident at New Year when accommodation is booked in a variety of places including Banchory.
One of the hotels in Banchory could be in new hands by the New Year as the Burnett Arms is put on the market.
The Burnett Arms Hotel, affectionately known as “the Burnett” has been a feature and local hostelry in Banchory for many centuries with its origins in the 18th century as a coaching inn on the Aberdeen to Braemar route. The Burnett Arms Hotel is being sold by the Melvin Family who have owned and operated the business, directly, since 1965.
Selling agent Colliers International is inviting offers around £1,000,000 for the Best Western Burnett Arms Hotel, Banchory.
