Howe O’the Mearns Pipe Band and Roxburghe House have joined together to bring an online auction raising funds for both organisations.
The auction is set to go live in just over a week on August 9 and run for six days.
The organisations have set up a dedicated Facebook Page for people to get involved with and make their bids on items.
The auction page says: “The auction will run from 7pm on August 9 until 9pm on August 14. No bids will be accepted before or after these dates and times. To bid all you have to do is comment on the pic.
“Payment will be cash on collection or through paypal, however if you require postage this will be at your cost (details on postage will be put on each pic). “Finally please share will all your friends and family, the more people that knows about this the more money we can raise.”
One of the items up for grabs is Pipe Major Davis Duncan, aka Mearns piper, who is giving his services for either a full wedding or function. However we’ve been told if the bids go well there will be a ‘surprise upgrade’.

There are also some items that will be posted in due course.
The band will also be having a fundraising soup and sweet day in Laurencekirk’s Masonic Hall at 11am until 2pm on Sunday August 9 before the auction goes live.
