Brother and sister, Jodie and Jamie Russo, have raised funds for the MS Society after holding a cake sale.

Their dad was diagnosed with MS 30 years ago, and they decided to organise the sale after they heard it being advertised on the local radio.

The 12 and 13 year old contacted MS directly to get all the details sent out to their house.

Together with some friends they distributed invitations through neighbours’ doors and on the day they sold cakes and held a raffle, raising a grand total of £270. The others were Lewis Henderson (12), Caitlin Murphy (14), Abie Murphy (12) and Poppy Murphy (9).

Goodfellow and Steven and Ross the baker donated cake boxes and Charles McHardy the butcher donated all the plastic boxes for the biscuits.
