Lathallan School Johnshaven will hold a Mini Highland Games in a couple of weeks and are inviting everyone to a free family fun day.

All will be welcome to the school which will see teams from Albyn, Bervie, Catterline, Gourdon, St Cyrus and Lathallan take part.

The 12th Mini Highland Games will take place on Saturday September 26 from 2pm until 5pm at Lathallan School, Johnshaven.

There will be BBQ, stalls, bar, dog shows, tug of war, caber toss, woodland dash, sack races, piping and drumming competitions.

Hundreds of pupils from local primary schools and their families and friends are welcome to enjoy an afternoon of fun and competitions. The event has been growing over the 12 years and promises to be a great day out for all the family.

Events include Piping and Drumming Competitions, tug of war, tossing the caber, woodland dash and fun dog show. The Piping and Drumming competition starts at 1pm.

There is a bar, BBQ, tuck shop, teas and coffees with sumptuous Lathallan home bakes, stalls, face painting, and a raffle with fantastic prizes. Dog Show is sponsored by Kitchen Design Company, Laurencekirk

Stalls include Alli Baba, Stella & Dot, Daisy & Lilly, Kate Matthews, Fiona’s Facepainting, Anna’s Cards and Gifts, Alison McKenzie, Evelyntreasurefinder, Butternut Catering, Princess Bows, Cakes by Grace, Partylite, Woodhouse Wines, Rugby Plus and Usbourne Books.

The raffle costs £1 per ticket and has the main prize of an Apple Watch. There is also theme hampers including: Cooks Delight, Baking Bonanza, Family Fun Night, Outdoor Adventure, Pamper Yourself, Chocolate Heave and more.
