Tom Cowie, who is Head Boy at Lathallan School, Johnshaven, has received three A’s at Band 1 for Advanced Higher and is going to Cambridge University to read Natural Sciences. A third of all S4 pupils at the school achieved at least seven A’s at Intermediate 2/ Standard Grade so perhaps Tom might find some Lathallan company sooner rather than later. These are the best S4 results to date.

Headmaster Richard Toley commented: “I am satisfied with our results as they reflect well on each pupil’s abilities but more than this I am proud of all this year’s cohort and would be happy to put forward any of them as an ambassador for our school, I expect all our leavers to achieve great things.”

Lathallan is an independent all-through co-educational school. It has class sizes, on average, of 12 pupils.Lathallan’s traditions and ethos are a fundamental part of the school’s success in a well established Scottish educational system. For more information visit www.lathallan.org.uk
