STAFF at the Commodore Hotel are limbering up to fling themselves out of an aeroplane from two-and-a-half thousand feet in the air.
But don't worry, it's not because the hotel is a bad place to work - it's all in the name of charity, with all the money raised by the 30 employees planning to make the jump parachute jump, sometime towards the end of June, going to the Friends of the Special Nursery Appeal.
Hotel manager Mr Andy Bremner is organising the jump, and although he admits to being just a little scared of heights, reckons it's all for a good cause.

BRITISH rail are to introduce a new early-morning commuter train between Stonehaven and Aberdeen, starting on Monday, May 13.
Leaving Stonehaven at 7.20am and reaching the city at 7.42am, this addition has been designed to provide a more dependable link than the existing train, which runs between Perth and Aberdeen, via Stonehaven.
With the high-speed service originating from Stonehaven, the frequent hold-ups suffered by the town's 150 rail commuters due to delays further south, will be significantly reduced, according to British Rail operations manager for the Aberdeen area, Mr Peter Heubeck.
50 YEARS AGO - Friday May 6 1960
ONCE again Stonehaven is suffering from the depredations of sea-gulls with a liking for morning rolls.
This is a yearly headache in the town and, at the moment, the worst sufferers appear to be those living in the Barclay Street area.
The gulls not only run off with the bags left by the bakers' messengers at house doors, but also steal the contents of special bags put out by householders. The bags are usually ripped to shreds, and it looks as though wooden boxes will provide the only effective answer.

STONEHAVEN - The haddock fishing last week was again a light one, the boats only getting to sea on four days.
The great-line boats also had poor returns, the stormy weather causing them to return in some cases without shooting their lines.
