A popular Mearns destination will be having it’s opening day this Saturday, April 26, with an open invitation for all to visit.
Auchenblae Den will be expecting a lot of visitors, who travel from near and far to experience the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful area.
Children are catered for in the kiddies’ play area and the adventure playground, for the older ones, while woodland walks, bowling, tennis and putting are open to all with an honesty box in place at the Victorian Pavilion for payment and donations towards upkeep.
The area is managed and maintained by Auchenblae Parks Committee on behalf of village residents. As customary, this springtime event is held to celebrate the opening of these facilities for the summer season.
Soup and sandwich lunches are served from the pavilion between 11am and 2 pm at a charge of £3 for adults and £1.50 for primary school children.
There will be a sales table and raffle, and donations to both would be most welcome.
You are invited to go along and try your hand at bowls, putting or tennis; enjoy the peaceful walks or partake in the more boisterous activities on offer.
