Author vist for Millo students

Waiting for Video...

Pupils at Mill O’Forest Primary school were treated to an author visit last week from Alex McCall, author of ‘Attack of the Giant Robot Chickens.’

Primary six students had a chance to ask the author question.

They also stretched their own imaginations as Alex gave an interactive presentation.

A reading of a few chapters of Alex’s first childrens book took place as the class heard the tale of Jesse and his friends who try to stop Aberdeen being terrorised by giant robot chickens.

The children worked on some story ideas under guidelines of 1. What if? 2. What Next? 3. End.

Alex took questions from the class, regarding how long the book took to write, how he came up with the idea and how many copies he had sold.

Talking to the Leader and Observer after the presentation, pupils said they really liked the presentation and it allowed them to use their own imaginations.

One pupil said: “ I think it was a really good talk.

‘‘It has helped me think of some ideas for stories as I do struggle with that.”

Attack of the giant Robot Chickens is available from and on amazon.
