EXCELLENT ENTRY FOR THE 43rd THOMSON MEMORIAL RALLY
THE 43rd R.W. Thomson Memorial Fellowship Rally was held on Sunday, when glorious weather and an excellent entry combined to produce a memorable event.
There were over 120 entrants with a further 30 vehicles turning up during Sunday and joining in what was described by everyone who participated as a very enjoyable day.
One entrant, Campbell Thomson and his wife from Conon Bridge left home on Friday with their Vauxhall Cresta to come down to Stonehaven for the event but unfortunately broke down several times on the way.
They returned home, picked up another car, a BMW Z3, and were able to participate in the event.
They went home winning the Kennedy Trophy for the highest score for sports cars (1991 to 2005) and the Andy Edmonston Trophy for the farthest travelled motor car.
