Pupils returned to school this week but it was a different setting for students of Mearns Academy - who walked into a new campus.
The new Mearns Community Campus had an open day lastSunday, with members of the community getting a chance to see inside the building for the first time.
The £24million campus on Aberdeen Road was part-funded by the Scottish Futures Trust and has been under construction since 2012.
It features a public library, theatre, drama and dance studios along with meeting rooms, a conference suite, kitchens, computer rooms and interview rooms.
Sports and leisure facilities include a four-court games hall, fitness room, aerobics studio and changing rooms, with an artificial pitch and two grass pitches outside the building.
The campus also offers free wi-fi facilities and a coffee bar, along with an unmanned police office where arrangements can be made to meet an officer.
A series of events and taster sessions for sports, community and cultural activities are to take place over the next few weeks.
