It’s time to recognise the worth of our volunteers

We want to say thank you to all the volunteers around Kincardine and Mearns

Here at the Mearns Leader and Kincardineshire Observer we want to thank everyone who takes the time out to help their community.

And that is why we want to highlight those groups who have done outstanding work throughout Kincardine and Mearns.

Interested?

This week we officially launch our ‘Thank You to the Volunteers’ campaign.

Do you know a group who have done some outstanding work in the community, or are you involved with one?

If so then get in touch with us because we want to speak to you!

We want to highlight your club, key members, what you do, what you’ve achieved and what you are aiming to achieve in the future.

We also want to help out!

Reporters Rachel Campbell and Lee McCann could spend a few hours with your club or organisation and write about the experience in the Mearns Leader and Kincardineshire Observer.

Editor Mike Rankin said: ‘‘Something which struck me soon after I arrived here last year was the number of busy volunteer groups in the area.

‘‘They have a wonderful can-do attitude which has certainly impressed me and I think it’s time they received some recognition.’’

To get involved with our ‘Thank You to the Volunteers’ campaign e-mail news@mearnsleader.com with the subject ‘Thank You to the Volunteers’.

You can also speak to Rachel or Lee on 01569 762859.
