Lathallan School is looking forward to welcoming hundreds to people to its fourth Rugby 7s event next week.

Lathallan School is looking forward to welcoming everyone to its fourth Rugby Sevens event next Saturday, April 26.

Parents and friends of the players will travel from Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Tayside and Perth to spend the day cheering on the teams and enjoying the hospitality.

Schoolsclubs confirmed as attending across the now four tournaments of U18, U16, U14 and P7 include Montrose, Carnoustie, Brechin, Mackie, Robert Gordon’s College, Deeside, Harris Academy, Strathmore, Moray, Gordonstoun as well as four teams from Lathallan.

The event has firmly established itself as an important annual fixture for the sporting calendar and the school is hoping to be joined by Sir Moir Lockhead, chairman of Scottish Rugby Union, and former president Ian McLauchlan.

The event will raise funds for The Bill McLaren Foundation, Hearts and Balls and The Lathallan Foundation for bursaries.

A free family fun day, open to all, it will also have a BBQ, beer tent, bouncy castle, face painting and family entertainment.

Raffle prizes include a signed Scotland rugby Ssirt, signed Warriors rugby ball, two tickets to Our Kind of Jazz Weekend at Woodend Barn, a four-ball at Stonehaven Golf Course and shopping vouchers
