Mearns FM are preparing to hold an impartial Independence debate four days before Scotland decides it’s fate at the polls.
The community radio station, which broadcasts all across Kincardine and Mearns, will have guests from both sides of the debate.
The event will be held at Stonehaven Town Hall on Sunday, September 14, at 7pm with the station inviting everyone along to ask questions.
On the panel for the debate will be SNP MSP Nigel Don, Dr Rachel Shanks, Stonehaven Green Party spokesperson Dr Rachel Shanks, Conservative MSP Alex Johnstone and Labour MSP Jenny Marra.
Ken Venters, who will be hosting the event, said this week how important it was for people to get involved and to get their questions in now.
He added: “What we wanted to do was provide an opportunity for the local people to have their say and have a chance to ask their own questions.
“I urge everyone to get their questions in now.
“We are on the lookout for a fifth panel member, someone who has strong views but who is undecided in the way that they are voting.”
If you have a question to ask the panel you can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
The station is a non-profit organisation and celebrating its fifth anniversary and has been granted a further five year licence to broadcast. Mearns FM is broadcast on 105.7 in Stonehaven, 106.2 in Inverbervie and 107.3 in Laurencekirk.
